How the estimate works
Transparent enough to disagree with.
The model divides annual household consumption by 1,450 estimated AC units per installed kW, rounds up to the next 0.5 kW, and caps the public estimator at 10 kW. It then models 90% of generation as usable against consumption and applies your effective electricity rate.
The cost is a deliberately broad pre-survey range. It is not presented as a regulated price or installer quotation. Structure height, civil work, cable length, module and inverter models, sanctioned-load work, approvals and roof access can materially change it.
